Charles A. “Chuck” Druckrey, 87, of Bonduel, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, at The Pines Assisted Living Facility in Pulaski. Chuck was born on May 20, 1928, to the late Albert and Alyce (Knutson) Druckrey. He married Romaine Graf on April 22, 1950. Chuck graduated from Bonduel High School and attended college at Marquette University, where he played quarterback on the football team.

LaVerne H. “Monk” Molitor, 87, of the town of Belle Plaine, passed away Friday morning, Sept. 18, 2015, at Evergreen Care Center of Shawano. Funeral service arrangements are pending and will be announced on Wednesday. Mickelson Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Larry Charles Lohrentz, 72, of Pella, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, in Shawano. Larry was born in Milwaukee on Aug. 3, 1943, the son of the late Walter and Evelyn (Hoppe) Lohrentz, Sr. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Larry lived most of his life in the Pella area, and worked as a carpenter for Howard Immel, Boldt Company and Miron Construction, retiring 10 years ago.

Willis Edwin Pingel, 91, of Red River, passed away on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, in Shawano. Willis was born in Red River on April 2, 1924, the son of the late Richard and Anna (Erdman) Pingel. On Sept. 15, 1945, Willis was united in marriage to Joyce Page at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stony Hill. He lived in the town of Richmond all of his life, where he and Joyce owned and operated the family dairy farm.

Raymond A. Bluemke, 90, of Shawano, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. Ray was born on Aug. 13, 1925, in Shawano, a son of the late Hubert and Marie (Schutt) Bluemke. He attended the St. James Lutheran grade school and later Shawano High School. Following school, he was employed at Schreier Well Drilling Company.

A Born Learning Trail was dedicated Thursday at Kuckuk Park in Shawano to provide kids and their parents with a fun interactive way to enjoy the park. Signs written in several languages will guide visitors along the trail with messages such as, “Look. Listen. Touch. Think.” A similar attraction was added to Eberlein Park, also in Shawano. The Mielke Foundation funded the improvements after hearing about the concept from Shawano Pathways.
