Jacob Jerome Maskewit Sr., 49, of Keshena, was called to the spirit world on Oct. 10, 2015, in Green Bay, at Bellin Hospital with his loving family by his side. Jacob suffered with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare disease that attacks the nervous system. He was born on Nov. 23, 1965, in Antigo, the son of Carl J. “Chummy” Maskewit Sr. and the late Sharon (Winneshiek) Maskewit.

Peggy Ann Buckbee, 60, of Clintonville, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, in Neenah from a recurrence of cancer. Peggy was born in Shawano on May 29, 1955, to Douglas and Joyce (Hoffman) Goers. On Oct. 26, 1974, in Shawano, she was united in marriage to Chuck Buckbee. She lived in the Shawano area all her life. Peggy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, enjoyed trips to Canada with family, gardening, cooking and canning.

Benjamin P. Busch, 51, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, in Appleton. Ben was born in Wisconsin on July 14, 1964, to the late Roger Mason and Sharon (Schliting) Cole. On July 21, 1989, Ben was united in marriage to Kris Campbell. Ben spent all his married life in Shawano.

LaVerne E. Roth, 87, of Eland, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015. LaVerne was born on Aug. 28, 1928, in Clintonville, to the late Walley and Myrtle (Behling) Pingel. She grew up on her parents’ farm in the Clintonville area. On April 28, 1946, LaVerne married Robert Roth, of Eland, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Clintonville. Together they farmed for 31 years in the Eland area and raised five boys.

Delores Mary Schweitzer, 79, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, in Appleton. Delores was born in Milwaukee on Dec. 22, 1935, to the late Edward and Kathrine (Weting) Barbian. On June 14, 1952, in Milwaukee, Delores was united in marriage to Thomas Schweitzer.

Allen D. Montour, 80, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, Oct. 12, 2015, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. Allen was born on June 17, 1935, in Shawano, a son of the late Joseph and Doris (Monroe) Montour Richards. He attended the Shawano schools, graduating from Shawano High School. On Oct. 13, 1952, Allen entered the United States Navy. He served his country during the Korean War until June 11, 1956.
