Kenneth L. Huebner, 72, of the town of Richmond, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at a local nursing home. Born on Dec. 19, 1941, in Shawano, he was the son of the late Henry and Sarah (Nueske) Huebner.
Ken lived in Shawano all his life and graduated from Gresham High School. On Nov. 9, 1963, he was united in marriage to Doris Mikulski in Clintonville. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1997. Ken owned and operated Huebner Electric. When not at work, he enjoyed deer hunting, snowmobiling, camping and spending time at his trailer in Pickerel. Ken was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-Hermansfort.
Ken is survived by his two daughters, Linda (Joey Bahr) Huebner, of Shawano, and Marsha (John) Lawrenz, of Navarino; his son, Kenneth A. Huebner, of Shawano; a sister, Sallee (Gary) Gehrt, of Embarrass; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Virginia Huebner, of Sandstone, Minn., Lyle (Marlea) Mikulski, of Marion, and Art (Shirley) Mikulski, of Hortonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, his parents and a brother, Casper Huebner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Hermansfort with the Rev. Roland Golz and Vicar Steve Conradt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
