Hawks split with Marinette
The Shawano Community High School softball team split a doubleheader with Bay Conference foe Marinette on the road Friday.
The Hawks rallied from being down 4-0 to win the first game 14-10 in eight innings. Sophomore pitcher Sydney Schreiber earned her first varsity win, and freshman Saige Henning hit a home run.
The Hawks lost the second game 24-22. Nicole Ainsworth almost tied the game with a home run, but the ball fell inside after hitting the top of the center field fence, and Shawano went on to strand the tying run on second base.
Eagles surprise Wild Rose
The Menominee Indian High School baseball team beat Wild Rose 9-3 Friday in Wild Rose.
Ty Latender was the winning pitcher. He threw six innings, struck out four and walked two.
Richard Corn was 2 for 2 to lead Menominee Indian (2-1, 2-1 Central Wisconsin Conference-10). Lowell Chevalier and Nick Corn were 1 for 2.
Tigerton dominated by Rosholt
The Tigerton High School baseball team lost to Rosholt 19-2 in a Central Wisconsin Conference-10 game Friday in Tigerton.
Woodrow Nelson took the loss for Tigerton (3-3, 2-2 CWC-10). He pitched five innings, struck out eight, walked six and allowed nine runs on six hits. He was also 2 for 4. Hayden Harris was 2 for 3 with an RBI.
Spencer Hahn pitched four innings, struck out eight, walked four and allowed two runs on two hits for Rosholt (4-0, 4-0 CWC-10).

Softball: Bonduel beat Wittenberg-Birnamwood 10-2. Clintonville lost both games of a doubleheader against Ripon, 5-0, 11-1.
