Garden club plans summer trip to Milwaukee

The Northern Gardeners Garden Club will take part in the Milwaukee Garden Tour on July 31 to Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum. This museum is located on Lake Michigan bluffs and has re-created the classic elements of the 16th century Tuscan landscape. Participants will have lunch at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in the glass, two-story atrium that has a terrace view and a formal garden backdrop. At the museum, more than 40 acres of formal gardens are professionally labeled, with more than 500 varieties of roses, plus one of the largest crab apple collections in Wisconsin. After the visit, the bus will head to Whitnall Park for a drive-through tour. The cost of the Lamers Bus Lines trip is $75. Checks payable to Northern Gardeners Garden Club may be sent to Diane Murdzek, W789 Townhall Drive, Pulaski, WI 54162. For more information, call Murdzek at 920-822-3864. The bus will leave at 7 a.m. from St. John’s Lutheran, Gillett; 7:30 a.m. from the rectory parking lot of Assumption BVM, Pulaski; and at 8 a.m. from the Kmart West parking lot, Green Bay. It will return to the area at 7 p.m.
