Four people face drug charges after allegedly cooking methamphetamine in the back bedroom of an Oconto Falls trailer house.
According to a criminal complaint, meth was made most recently on May 27, hours before a search warrant executed at 8 a.m. May 28 uncovered packaged meth, supplies used for manufacturing the drug, and drug paraphernalia.
Nicholas R. Block, 28, and his brother, Joseph P. Anderson, 24, Green Bay, were charged Wednesday in Oconto County Circuit Court with seven counts related to the possession and manufacture of meth from March 1 to May 28.
Block’s girlfriend, Ashley L. Van Norman, 22, and Van Norman’s mother, Wendy S. Pogrant, 51, face the same seven counts and an eighth count of maintaining a drug-trafficking place at the trailer home at 249 Birch Road, Lot 15.
According to the complaint, Pogrant, Block, Van Norman and Van Norman’s 3-year-old son live at the trailer. Anderson also stayed there on and off and had resided there for the past three weeks.
Pogrant told investigators her daughter is not a nice person, and she remained quiet about the drugs because she didn’t want her grandson to be taken away.
The criminal complaint states they started cooking meth in the middle of April, first on the Machickanee Trail. They transported it to the trailer to finish it. They also allegedly made meth on private land near U.S. Highway 41/141 five or six times and in the trailer house in Oconto Falls about six times.
In the complaint, Van Norman said her mother did not participate in the manufacture of the drug, but did smoke the drug. She said Block and Anderson also smoked the meth, while she “banged” meth, using a needle to put it in her vein.
According to the complaint, Pogrant purchased a key ingredient, pseudoephedrine, on three or four occasions from area pharmacies. Van Norman purchased pseudoephedrine 10 to 15 times. Block also reportedly purchased pseudoephedrine.
The suspects remain in the Oconto County Jail on $100,000 cash bond.
Their preliminary hearings are June 19.
