Alex Johnson went 2 for 5 with five RBIs, including a two-run double in the top of third inning, as Oconto Falls defeated Peshtigo (2-5) July 16.
Oconto Falls’ top two hitters in the order, Colton Geise (1-3, walk, RBI) and Mike Manns (0-2, two walks, RBI) scored two runs each. Luke Truckey also scored two runs and batted 2 for 3.
Four other hitters scored one run each: Johnson, Derek Zahn (2-5, two doubles, RBI), Hunter Magnin and Evan Sigmund (1-1).
Zahn struck out nine batters through 5 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and three unearned runs.

Oconto Falls jumped to a 5-0 lead against Wrightstown (7-5) after the first inning with runs scored by Hunter Magnin, Alex Johnson, Bo Shroyer, Luke Truckey and Dylan Woosman. Truckey hit a two-run double and batted 2 for 4 with two doubles.
Hunter Magnin, playing right field, batted 2 for 3 with two runs scored in a rare appearance as the team’s leadoff hitter. Derek Zahn served as the designated hitter and scored two runs and batted 2 for 4.
Taylor Brabandt received the victory after allowing two runs, one earned, through five innings. He walked one and struck out one.
