Two write-in candidates were successful in their run for Gillett alderperson. Marie Blaser, Ward 1, and Terry Nelson, Ward 2, were elected on April 1.
Incumbent Tod Anderson, who declined to run again, received 12 votes in Ward 2.
Nanette Mohr will return to represent Ward 3.
Mayor Irene Drake will return for a second term as mayor. She also has 24 years of experience as an alderperson.
All city offices are two-year terms.

Oconto Mayor Victoria Bostedt withstood a challenge from Ron Hayes to secure another two-year term.
Also returning to office are three incumbents, Lauren Resch, Al Schreiber, and Roger Reed, along with Darrell Anderson.
Other candidates in the eight-person race were Jodi Bostedt, John Wittkopf, Oralee Braunsdorf Martin and Shelley Rosenfeldt.

By a 10-vote margin, voters approved a binding referendum to transfer authority for appointing the city attorney from the mayor to the City Council. In January 2013, the City Council voted to change its charter ordinance to this effect, but city residents successfully petitioned for the issue to be placed on the ballot as a referendum.
City Administrator Sarah Perrizo said she had yet to consult with legal counsel, but since the City Council already adopted the ordinance, it’s likely it will take no further action.
