Bethany Baptist Church, a historic building located in rural Shawano County, has been repurposed with a new title and mission, thanks to owner Karen Benishek.

With their base located in Leopolis and positioned under the umbrella of Paisar Swamp Camp Industries, owners Darry and Janet Paisar conduct business as Glacial Stone Nursery, Pony Creek Decorative Curbing and Lawn Care, and Konkel’s Green Magic.

Free pizza was the ticket May 15 at Stubborn Brothers Brewery to help choose the cheese that will be featured on the pies at Stubborn Slice, the new venture of Erik and Aaron Gilling, owners of Stubborn Brothers.

Classic Neapolitan style pizza and thin crust pizzas will be on the menu.

Luke and Terri Erb’s family business, Erb’s Farm and Flower, offers more than just plants and flowers.

Together with son Ezra Erb, the couple desires to instill in youngsters the love of growing. Erb Farm is a big supporter of the Bonduel School District garden, hosting June summer-school field trips annually.

It’s all about the food and love at Ignacio’s Puebla Street Food, a new Mexican restaurant near downtown Shawano.

Ignacio Ramirez-Juarez’s love for the food he grew up with in Puebla City, Mexico, inspired him to open the restaurant in early March.

“I just follow my heart,” Ramirez-Juarez said. ”When I was a child watching my grandma, my mother, my aunt cooking, that’s my way to cook.”
