Cecelia Ann Trossen, 94, passed away peacefully Sept. 5, 2026.
Cecelia was born Jan. 12, 1932, to the late Herman and Martha Leonard. She grew up in Sheboygan and later made her home in Suring before eventually settling in Mountain.
Cecelia married Robert Trossen on Jan. 13, 1949, and together they built a life centered around family, hard work and many cherished memories.
Throughout her life, Cecelia was a hardworking and fiercely independent woman. She spent many years employed at Scott Paper Company and took pride in doing things for herself. Cecelia loved staying active and enjoyed shooting pool, bowling and especially throwing horseshoes.
Her love of horseshoes took her all across the United States, where she competed in World Horseshoe Tournaments and made many memories along the way. Her competitive spirit and determination stayed with her throughout her life, as she remarkably continued bowling and throwing horseshoes into her 90s.
In 2024, she was inducted into the Oconto County Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Cecelia was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Above all, Cecelia’s family was an important part of her life. She was the mother of four children and was blessed with nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Her long life allowed her the special gift of watching her family grow through several generations.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Martha Leonard; her husband, Robert Trossen; her brother, Herman (Butch) Leonard; two of her children, Robert Trossen and William Trossen; and her great-grandchild, Emily Rose.
She is survived by her children, Randall (Deborah) Trossen and Carmen Jensen; her nine grandchildren, Sarah, Rosie, Teresa, Torey, Trista, Brandon, Stacie, Josy and Cody; her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who were fortunate to share in her 94 years of life.

Cecelia will be remembered for her strength, fierce independence, determination and competitive spirit. She lived a full life spanning more than nine decades, traveled the country doing something she loved and had the special opportunity to see her family grow through multiple generations. Her family will cherish the many memories she leaves behind and the remarkable life she lived.
