RGI seeks applicants for Forever Fund

Revitalize Gillett Inc. is seeking applicants for the 2014 Forever Fund. Established in 2008, this annual award promotes growth in the community by awarding money to an individual or business located within the Gillett School District. The award is granted based on the applicant’s plans to use the money to further the development of the area and support RGI’s mission statement, which is to make the Gillett community “a better place for all ages to live, work, shop and play.” The award this year is $2,000. The Forever Fund is made possible through donations from the community. Each year, 5 percent of the fund’s balance is awarded for projects. Past recipients are Sunshine Child Care Center, Gillett Rail Runners ATV Club, The Cracked Cup, The Seat Doc, Howlin’ Grooming & Training, and Main Street Laundromat. Donations to the Forever Fund are also welcome. Individuals, groups, businesses and organizations that contribute $1,000 or more will be recognized as Grand Contributors. Other sponsor levels available are $12 annually (buck a month), $52 annually (buck a week), and $365 annually (buck a day). Checks should be made out to Revitalize Gillett Inc. and can be mailed to or dropped off at The Cracked Cup, 127 E. Main St., Gillett, WI 54124. Revitalize Gillett Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax deductible. Application forms for this year’s award can be picked up at The Cracked Cup and must be returned by May 30. All applications are reviewed by RGI and scored by members of the community. The winner will be announced in mid-June. For more information, contact Dr. Evelyn Hauser-Frederick at 920-855-2155.
