The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will host a series of informational meetings across the state’s northeast region to educate anglers on various fisheries management topics.
This is a chance to learn how the DNR manages game species and protects and restores their habitat.
The meetings are part of a spotlight series highlighting various fisheries in Green Bay and inland waters in northeast Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Wisconsin Salt Wise invite the public to learn more about the impacts of road salt on drinking water and freshwater ecosystems during Winter Salt Awareness Week, Jan. 22-26.
Although salt keeps Wisconsin roads safe during winter, using more salt than needed comes at a price. In Wisconsin and much of the U.S., chlorides from salt are infiltrating lakes, streams and groundwater.
