Evaluation still pending on Renel’s sanity
Swift justice remained elusive as Aaron Renel’s sentencing hearing had to be pushed back two months due to waiting on a report about Renel’s sanity. The sentencing was supposed to take place Aug. 27, but Eric Pangburn, Renel’s attorney, asked for an extension. He said that the evaluation on Renel had not been received and would not be ready until at least Sept.
Jimmy John's plans new store in Shawano
Jimmy John’s is planning to open one of its eateries in Shawano, and the Shawano Plan Commission approved a conditional use permit Aug. 28 for the business. Jimmy John’s will be located at 811 E. Green Bay St., with plans to raze the current building and redevelop the street.
