Bonduel volleyball team wins Oostburg Tournament
Oct. 5 Oostburg Tournament Bonduel’s volleyball team went 4-0 and won the Oostburg Tournament. In the initial rounds of pool play, Bonduel took on host Oostburg and New Holstein and defeated both of them 2-0. Set scores for Oostburg were 25-14, 25-17. Set scores for New Holstein were 25-14, 25-10. With those two wins, Bonduel moved on to play the last two matches in the gold bracket.
Pulaski soccer team tops Green Bay East

Police search for evidence where Szekeres found
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), in partnership with the Shawano County Sheriff Department and Shawano Police Department, is continuing to investigate the 2013 disappearance and death of Heather Szekeres, according to a press release from Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul. Nicolas A. Rydell
Nicolas Anthony Rydell, age 43, of Madison, passed away on Sept. 23, 2024. He was born on April 28, 1981, in Shawano, the son of Ann Rydell and Ted Rydell. He grew up in Shawano next to Forest Haven Park. Nick graduated from Shawano High School in 1999. He went on to earn degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Minnesota Law School.

Oct. 2 Division 1 De Pere Regional Pulaski golfers placed fifth with a 423 and Shawano was eighth with a 446 at Ledgeview Golf Course in De Pere. Bay Port won the regional round with a 359 and, along with De Pere and Green Bay Preble Co-op, will advance to sectional action. Grace Melzer, of Pulaski, will advance as an individual qualifier, as she led the Red Raiders with a 103 in 17th place.
