Suring Elementary School gets new playground

Over the summer, Suring Elementary School replaced its playground. The new playground is more inclusive and safer for school and community use. “It was a necessary decision,” said Paul Orlich, Suring School District superintendent. The previous equipment was well over 15-20 years old. The year prior, we had to pay someone to come in and cut out some of the rusted components and weld in temporary fixes.

She was born Oct. 8, 1924, in North Fond du Lac, the second child of the late Otto Zemke and Maureen Minahan. Jean’s mother, Maureen, died when Jean was only 3 years old, leaving behind her husband Otto, Jean, sister Betty and brother Robert.

Social Security announces COLA adjustment for 2025
Social Security benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments for more than 72.5 million Americans will increase 2.5% in 2025, the Social Security Administration has announced.
