Deer kill down on opening weekend
Hunters were greeted with bitter cold and high winds Saturday for opening day of Wisconsin’s gun-deer season. J.J. Slewinski, of Shawano, braved the weather near Hintz in Oconto County and got his buck Saturday morning. “If you were out in a field, it was pretty cold,” Slewinski said. “If you were in the woods, it was OK.” The cold weather may have had the deer hunkered down, lowering the number of deer taken opening weekend.

Keys to the Game: Packers at Lions
Green Bay Packers Touchdowns The Green Bay Packers would have won if they were able to score a touchdown on either of their final two drives against the Minnesota Vikings. Instead, the team was forced to settle for a pair of Mason Crosby field goals and the tie. The Packers also had problems getting touchdowns against the Detroit Lions earlier this season.
