Teen allegedly broke into cop’s home

A burglary Sunday at a Stockbridge-Munsee police officer’s home and subsequent chase in a stolen car led to multiple felony charges Tuesday against a Keshena teenager. Lamont Franklin, 17, is accused of breaking into the Red Springs home of Officer Clint Gorley around 4:30 p.m.
Animal rights group pans investigation

Rose loses Clintonville recall vote

Bears rout Gillett in opener
The Bonduel High School girls basketball team came roaring out of the gate with a 67-17 win over Gillett in both teams’ season opener Tuesday in Bonduel. Bonduel’s defense jumped on Gillett early, holding the Tigers to seven points in the first quarter.
Norbert W. Ecke
Norbert W. Ecke, 86, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 18, 2014, in Shawano. Norbert was born March 28, 1928, in Shawano, a son of the late William and Frieda (Arnst) Ecke. He attended Shawano schools and graduated from Shawano High School. The day after graduation, Norbert enlisted in the United States Navy. He served during World War II with the Seabees on the island of Guam.

Gladys M. Bartelme
Gladys M. Bartelme, 94, of Bonduel, passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014. Born on March 7, 1920, in Caroline, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (Grunewald) Tews. On June 4, 1938, Gladys was united in marriage to Earl Bartelme, who preceded her in death in March 1984. Earl and Gladys farmed for 38 years in the town of Almon. After Earl’s death, Gladys moved to Bonduel.
Neil W. Rasmussen
Neil W. Rasmussen, 85, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, formerly of Cecil, passed away at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois, on Nov. 18, 2014. He was born on Sept. 24, 1929, in Sheboygan to Christ W. and Margaret I Paulsen Rasmussen. Neil married Alice Thome; she is deceased. Neil was in the Air Force for four years and the Navy for four years.
