Donnalea Rae Moede

Donnalea Rae (Hanke) Moede was gathered into the arms of our loving Savior on July 2, 2015. She was born in Shawano to the late Viola (Norman) and Emil Hanke on June 28, 1935. She was a lifetime member of St. James, where she served as a member of Altar Guild for many years. Donna married Harvey Moede on April 26, 1953, at St. James. Together they made their home in Shawano for 62 years.

Siefert scores his 1st Late Model win
It seemed as though it would only be a matter of time before Jared Siefert broke into victory lane in a Late Model feature at Shawano Speedway, and Saturday night was the time. Also on Saturday, Travis VanStraten continued to dominate the IMCA Stock Car division with his seventh straight and eighth overall feature win. Jamie Schmidt was impressive on his way to victory lane in the IMCA Modified class.

Shawano School District families that don’t qualify for free and reduced meals will pay 10 cents more for lunches in the 2015-16 school year. Donald Minniecheske
Donald “Donnie” Minniecheske, 81, Tigerton, lost his fight with cancer Monday, June 29, 2015. He was born March 21, 1934. On Feb. 27, 1954, he married Sally Kreinke. Survivors include his wife, Sally; five children, JoAnn Redman and the late Fred Redman, Judy and friend Jim McCullan, James, Jane (Don) Dedolph and Jack.
Bonduel provides the fireworks in Fourth shutout

Triathlon is family affair for local couple
Tom Egan was just another out-of-town competitor when he traveled from Milwaukee to the Leopolis triathlon in 2007. But there he met his match in Leopolis native Sally Buckett. Officials assessing tornado damage after Monday’s storm
National Weather Service officials were in Shawano and surrounding counties Tuesday assessing damage from severe storms that produced multiple tornado sightings Monday evening.
