Shawano Police Department Sept. 3 Police logged 30 incidents, including the following: Suspicious — Police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at Shawano Community High School, 220 County Road B. Theft — A food card was reported stolen in the 1100 block of South Lafayette Street. Theft — A cell phone was reported stolen at Green Bay and Arlington streets. Threatening — Police responded to a threatening complaint at KFC, 102 N.

The Shawano Area Community Foundation is accepting grant applications until Oct. 1 from eligible Shawano area charitable organizations. Organizations interested in applying for grants up to $5,000 from the SACF’s Shawano Area Fund must be designated by the Internal Revenue Service to be public charities.

Mary L. (Vick) Pevonka-Brown, 94, moved to her heavenly Father’s house on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, where her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus, was waiting to welcome her with these words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Mary was an inspiration and encourager to everyone. She shared her love of Jesus wherever she went, including while teaching children’s Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, for over 52 years.

Ruby C. Olmsted, 90, of Waupaca, formerly of Clintonville, entered her Heavenly Home with the Lord, Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements.

Richard L. Tucker, 62, of Marion, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 2, 2015, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard Lawrence Tucker was born on Dec. 12, 1952, in Racine to Alfred and Ruth (Larson) Tucker. On May 17, 1953, Richard was baptized at Atonement Evangelical Lutheran Church and was later confirmed at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, both in Racine.

Jeffrey Stuart Pahlow, 56, passed away suddenly at his home in Mazomanie on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015. He was born on Aug. 24, 1959, to the late Edward and Bernice (Braun) Pahlow. Jeff graduated from Shawano High School, Class of 1977. Following high school, Jeff enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he received training in microwave communications, which later aided him in his career as an electronics technician.
