Milk production in Wisconsin during March totaled 2.76 billion pounds, up 1% from the previous March according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Milk Production report. The average number of milk cows during March, at 1.27 million head, was unchanged from last month but up 1,000 from March 2023.

Wisconsin egg production during March was 207 million eggs, up 4% from the previous March, according to the latest Chickens and Eggs report from the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The average number of all layers on hand during March 2024 was 7.81 million, up 2% from last year.

Marjorie A. Keshemberg, 91, of Kelly Lake, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Marge was born on July 21, 1932, to the late Henry and Lillian (Moegenburg) Grosser. She was raised in Cedarburg and graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1950. In the early 1950s, Marge married Merton Asp, and the couple raised three children, David, Rick and Ron.
