Winter wheat production in Wisconsin is forecast at 15.6 million bushels, 11% below last year’s 17.5 million bushels, according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service – Crop Production report. Wisconsin had 3.6 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending May 12, 2024, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. The Machickanee Players has scheduled their 41st season, and it includes two comedies and one drama to be presented at the Park Avenue Theatre, 408 Park Ave., Oconto. The first, to be presented in October, is the comedy “Escanaba in da Moonlight.” Written by Jeff Daniels, it is about hunting and its traditions in Upper Michigan.

The Pulaski Area Historical Society is hosting an event at its museum commemorating June Dairy Month. Grill-out at the Mooseum will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 9. The museum will show inside exhibits, provide demos of the online archives search and feature an outdoor blacksmithing demonstration by Steven Karcz, the curator of the museum.
