Proceedings of Nov. 25 • Joaquin Julian Alba, 29, Gillett, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct as a domestic abuse repeater, in connection with an incident that occurred Oct. 9, and misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and endangering safety by the use of a dangerous weapon, in connection with an incident that occurred April 17, 2023.

Preliminary numbers from the 2024 Wisconsin gun deer season show an increase in deer licenses and the number of deer killed compared to 2023. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) said that as of Dec. 1, sales for deer hunting privileges (which include gun, archery, crossbow, conservation patron and sports licenses) reached 791,023, up from 788,697 for the same time period last year.

Earlier this year, the 409th barn quilt was added to the Shawano County barn quilt trail, the largest trail of 8-foot by 8-foot barn quilts in the United States. Dec. 3 Northland Pines 8, Shawano/Bonduel 1 The Shawano/Bonduel boys hockey team (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season with an 8-1 defeat at the hands of Northland Pines at the Crawford Center. Gavin Hundt put the Hawks on the board just 47 seconds into the game on an even strength goal with assists from Cameron Schroeder and Blake Swedberg. It was all Eagles from there, as they led 2-1 at the end of the first period.

The Green Bay Packers Foundation chair’s message to grant recipients was succinct. On Nov. 21, Wilson Jones told the 398 grantees gathered in the Lambeau Field Atrium that “the Green Bay Packers appreciate what you do.” Wilson conveyed that the foundation was created in 1986 by Judge Robert J.

To the editor, After two nighttime meetings, the Shawano Area Writers have not seen much interest in these events. But it’s not totally bad news. Only one person has come to the two night meetings, and this person has a lot of potential as a writer. In the Student Writing Contest years of 2022, 2023 and 2024, Francesca Ullmer a homeschooled student, has won nine awards.
