A monument dedicated to loved ones, many of whom died of cancer, will undergo a transformation in Gillett. A walkway will be constructed at the Memorial Wall, located just south of City Hall in Zippel Park, to create a tranquil spot for reflection. The Memorial Wall was originally linked to the Relay for Life event, formerly held in Gillett, for the American Cancer Society.

Proceedings from July 30 Dennis J. Krajewski, 54, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge for an incident that took place Oct. 20, 2012, in Oconto Falls. A 90-day jail sentence was imposed and stayed, and he was placed on probation for one year with the conditions he attend alcohol and other drug abuse assessment and pay $279.32 restitution and $243 court costs. Jodi A. Behreandt, 42, Wittenberg, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston. She was born on May 8, 1971, in Wausau, the daughter of Lee and JoAnn (Bloecher) Innerebner, of Eland. On Nov. 12, 1994, Jodi was united in marriage to Perry Behreandt in Wittenberg. He survives. Jodi was a 1989 graduate of Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.
