Thanks to the people who stopped and pushed my car the afternoon of March 19. They literally may have saved lives or property damage as I was stuck halfway across the southbound lane of Waukechon Street and could not move either way.

Northcentral Technical College (NTC) will relocate services offered in Wittenberg to meet community needs and support changing campus usage.

The current campus, located at 402 N. Genesee St., will be put up for sale, and NTC will relocate services to other areas of the Wittenberg community, including Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.

Shawano Area Matthew 25 has partnered with Core Behavioral Health Services to offer a new peer-to-peer recovery support program providing encouragement, connection and guidance for individuals working toward sobriety.

Getting past 33 inches of snow might have slowed down city employees, but it did not stop them as they worked for days to dig Shawano out after one of the biggest blizzards in recent memory.

March is National Women’s Month. Being one myself, I am mindful of the courageous women who laid it all on the line so that we would have the same rights as men. It took a century, but our rights aren’t guaranteed.

Sacred Heart Catholic School students spent a full day immersed in hands‑on learning at Navarino Nature Center, engaging in outdoor exploration that strengthened their academic skills, teamwork and appreciation for the outdoors.

Merlin, a free birding app available from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, like the magician of old, works its magic by helping to identify birds you are seeing or hearing.

The Lena Pathfinders will hold an annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 29 at the American Legion Hall, 316 W. Main St., Lena.

The Pathfinders are the youth organization within the world Seventh-day Adventist church. This sale provides funds for the young people at the local level to enjoy club activities and participate in community service projects.
