At 12:45 a.m. April 12 in Pensaukee, a vehicle driven by an Oconto man was northbound on U.S. Highway 41 when he reportedly fell asleep. He drove onto the median and overcorrected. His vehicle spun around on the highway and landed on its roof in the west ditch. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed.
At 3 a.m. April 13 in the town of Oconto Falls, a vehicle driven by a woman from Oconto Falls was traveling east on Busy Nook Road and swerved to miss a deer. She lost control of the vehicle, and it landed the ditch, striking a phone box. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. She was cited for failure to notify police of an accident.
At 5:26 p.m. April 14 in the town of Lena, a vehicle driven by a man from Lena slid through the stop sign at the intersection of Midway Road and County Road A, striking the Midway Bar and causing damage to the bar’s siding. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
At 8:29 p.m. April 14 in Chase, a woman driver from Sobieski was traveling west on South Chase Road when she lost control of her vehicle due to road conditions. She entered the south ditch, striking a utility pole, causing the pole to snap off. This in turn left the car to be energized by the live wire, trapping the driver in the vehicle until the electric company turned off the power. The driver was uninjured. The vehicle sustained moderate damage.
At 4:50 p.m. April 18, a woman driver from Little Suamico overturned her car after failing to negotiate a curve on County Road I in the town of Stiles. While traveling east, her vehicle entered the ditch, overturning and coming to rest on its wheels. The driver had no apparent injuries. The vehicle was towed, due to severe damage.
At 10:20 p.m. April 19, a woman driver from Abrams was traveling east on state Highway 22 just west of Funk Road in the town of Stiles when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road. She lost control of the vehicle, which hit the guard rail, entered the south ditch and overturned. The driver was not injured. The vehicle was towed due to severe damage.
