Marion 12, Bowler 1
A 12-1 loss to Marion marked Bowler’s first CWC North loss of the season. Bowler dropped to 3-1, while Marion improved to 2-2.
Lena 5, Crivitz 4
After battling back to tie the game at 4-4, Lena scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 5-4 win over Crivitz in a battle of unbeaten Marinette & Oconto Conference teams.
Crivitz jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top half of the first inning and added three more in the fifth inning for a 4-0 lead.
Lena battled back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie game and set up the final inning’s heroics.
The Wildcats benefited from two hits of their own and four errors from Crivitz.
Lena improved to 5-0 in the conference, while Crivitz fell to 4-1.
Oconto Falls 9, Freedom 3
Easton Engel hit 2-for-3, including a double and a home run, as he scored twice and collected one RBI in Oconto Falls’ 9-3 win over Wrightstown.
Chase Carriveau also hit 2-for-3 with one walk and two runs scored. Cole Bozile hit 2-for-4 with one run scored and one RBI.
Carter Heroux was the winning pitcher for the Panthers. He went six innings, gave up two hits and two runs, walked three and struck out six.
Pulaski 4, Green Bay Southwest 0
Pulaski stayed near the top of the Fox River Classic Conference with a 4-0 shutout over Green Bay Southwest. The Red Raiders are 5-3 in league play.
Shawano 10, New London 8
A hitters’ duel ended with Shawano defeating New London 10-8 and improving to 5-3 in the Bay Conference. New London fell to 3-3.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 10, Weyauwega-Fremont 0
The Chargers lit up the board in a 10-0 shutout over CWC East foe Weyauwega-Fremont.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood moved to the top of the conference with a 5-1 record.
Shiocton 13, Menominee Nation 2
The Eagles scored a pair of runs in the top of the first inning but couldn’t match Shiocton in the remaining innings, losing 13-2 in CWC East action.
