The University of Wisconsin-Extension in Oconto County will offer Adventure Camp for middle and high school students from Sunday, July 20, to Wednesday, July 23, at Upham Woods, near Wisconsin Dells.
Open to youth completing grades 7-13, the camp will provide opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, teambuilding and adventure. Upham Woods 4-H Environmental Center has its own private island, modern facilities on the mainland, and private access to the sandstone bluffs and dells of the Wisconsin River.
University of Wisconsin staff will be on site to provide an enriching, safe and fun camp experience for participants.
Cost for Adventure Camp is $75 for the first 10 Oconto County 4-H members who enroll. For nonmembers and those enrolling later, the fee is $225. The Oconto County 4-H Leaders Association will award a full scholarship to Oconto County 4-H youth who have served or are serving on a countywide committee. Camp fees cover lodging, transportation, meals, snacks, crafts and activities.
