Bonduel improves to 12-2 in Dairyland with latest win

The Bonduel Broncos are still in the mix for a Dairyland League championship.

Bonduel hosted Pulaski on July 26 and picked up a 7-4 win over the Reds to improve to 12-2 in league play.

Jett Thielke held the Reds hitless over seven innings while striking out 16 batters. Jack Reinke and Noah Weier each pitched an inning of relief and gave up two runs.

Eland, Hatley combine for 33 hits, 29 runs

Eland and Hatley’s BABA baseball teams put up some big numbers under the lights July 24 in their North Division matchup in Eland.

The Engineers scored 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and went on to hand the Braves a 22-7 loss in a game that included 33 hits and 29 runs.

Swedberg wins dirt late models race

Shawano’s AJ Springborn moved up from a 10th-place start to capture the checkered flag in the 20-lap IMCA sport modifieds feature race at the Shawano Speedway on July 25.

Oconto Falls’ Cole Magnin started eighth and finished second, while Seymour Tim Jorgensen started 11th and placed third.

Gillett’s Brad Miller started on the pole and finished in four place.

Miller and Magnin won the heat races.

Ski Sharks win D2 state title

The Shawano Ski Sharks racked up 1,374.88 points and earned the Division 2 state title at the 2026 Wisconsin Water Ski Show Championship held July 16-19 at Lake Wazeecha in Wood County.

The Ski Sharks earned first place in the Dock and Equipment Personnel, Tow Boat Driving, Overall Show, Doubles and Pyramid categories.

Ryan Strachan was named Most Valuable Male.

Cecil tops Pulaski for third straight Dairyland win

Wins are starting to add up for Cecil’s Dairyland League baseball team.

The Mudhens headed to Pulaski on July 17 and returned home following their third straight win, a 9-8 10-inning victory over the Reds.

The Mudhens moved into sole possession of fourth place in the Dairyland standings with the win.

Big ninth inning lifts Wittenberg over Tigerton

A big ninth inning gave Wittenberg’s Badger Amateur Baseball Association team a come-from-behind win, as the Pilots defeated Tigerton 15-14 July 17 in Wittenberg.

West Division

Wittenberg 15, Tigerton 14

Wittenberg scored 10 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning for a win over the Tigers and improved to 8-2 in division play.

East Division

Bonduel golfers honored for academics

The Bonduel girls golf team was recognized for their work in the classroom while also participating in the 2025 WIAA girls golf season.

The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin awarded the girls the Team Academic All-State Award.
