Ornaments sought for military tribute tree

Gov. Tony Evers and First Lady Kathy Evers have invited Wisconsinites to contribute ornaments for this year’s “Tribute to our Troops” holiday tree at the Executive Residence. “Every year, Kathy and I are honored to continue the tradition of the Tribute to our Troops Tree at the Executive Residence, and we ask Wisconsinites to join us by contributing an ornament to the Tribute to our Troops Tree,” Evers said.
CLUB NOTES: Lena Lions
The Lena Lions Club honored Mason Sobeck, son of Timothy and Michele Sobeck, as student of the month for November. Mason is a senior at Lena High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society, the FFA, and the L-club. Mason participates in football and baseball. His friends describe him as smart, hardworking, funny, loyal and respectful. Mason’s hobbies are hunting, farming, sports, and weightlifting.

• Adam and Hilary Anschutz, of Bonduel, are pleased to announce the birth of their son, Dax Henry Anschutz, at 3:38 p.m. Oct. 23, 2022 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was 18½ inches long. His maternal grandmother is Martha Robinson, of Reedsville. His paternal grandmother is Dorothy VandenHueval, of Seymour. Dax arrived 4½ weeks early.

The Oconto Falls High School Drama Team will soon be closing down its fall season with an opportunity for the community to see its competitive one-act entry of Dwayne Yancey’s “Code 40: Verona.” A community performance will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Falls Area Performing Arts Center at Oconto Falls High School.
