Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrated a Lenten tradition as second and third grade students presented the annual Stations of the Cross prayer play March 26.

With reverence, confidence and heartfelt devotion, the students offered a moving portrayal of Christ’s journey to Calvary — an experience that has become a part of the school’s spiritual life.

Under the guidance of teachers Paula Kundinger and Jinky Tadeo, the students prepared for this special presentation. Their hard work was evident as they led the school community in prayer and reflection. The performance was accompanied by Will McDougal, music director, on piano.

“This tradition is such a meaningful way for our students to enter into Holy Week,” said principal Gary Cumberland. “We are incredibly proud of their reverence and the way they helped our entire community prepare our hearts for the days ahead.”

The annual Stations of the Cross prayer play remains an opportunity for students to grow in faith, deepen their understanding of Christ’s sacrifice and share the beauty of prayer with the wider school community.
