Ruth L. Miller, 90, of the town of Herman, passed away on Sept. 2, 2014, in Oconto Falls. Born on Feb. 11, 1924, in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late William and Lilly (Arndt) Begrow.
On Oct. 9, 1943, Ruth was united in marriage to Carl L. Miller, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1996. Ruth was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church-Hermansfort. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, ceramics, quilting, cooking and fishing. She also loved to spend time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her children, Marilyn (Marvin) Whitehouse, of Oconto Falls, Karen (William) Whitehouse, of Wittenberg, Gary (Karen) Miller, of Manitowoc, Danny (Nancy Behnke) Miller, of Shawano, Gene (Robin) Miller, of Oconto Falls, Douglas Miller, of Bear Creek, and Marchelle (special friend, Geri) Miller, of Deerbrook; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; her sisters, Jeannie Neubauer and Adeline Pockat; and three brothers, Carlton (Anne) Begrow, Glen (Bernice) Begrow and Bill (Secret) Begrow.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Miller Sr.; sons, Carl Miller Jr. and Billy Miller; sisters, Margaret Krueger, Ervie Nollenbergm Dorothy Wudstrack, Irma Bestul and twin sister Rose Carlton; as well as a brother, August Begrow.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church-Hermansfort with the Rev. Steve Conradt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
