Phyllis M. Anderson, 87, Mountain, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014. She was born April 23, 1927, to the late Phil and Mary (Willes) Heisler.
Phyllis married Peter Anderson on Nov. 12, 1949, in Mountain. She worked as an assembler at Milwaukee Faucet and Briggs & Stratton until the couple moved to Mountain and bought the Green Lake Tap and operated it until 1981. She loved crocheting, painting and crafts, and she won prizes at the Oconto County Fair with her crafts. For the past 10 years, Phyllis was a resident of Woodland Village Nursing Home in Suring, where she loved playing Bingo.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Ken (Johanna) Ermis, of Mountain; her daughter, Arleen Beyma, of Milwaukee; her two brothers, Marvin Heisler, of Laona, and Duane (Carol) Heisler, of Gillett; two sisters, Delores Scully, of Oconto Falls, and Elaine (Bob) Rosner, of Menomonee Falls; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, on Sept. 25, 1982; two brothers, Phil Heisler and Gordon Heisler; son-in-law, Richard Beyma; and grandson, Huntzie Beyma.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, with a funeral service at 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Paul Scheunemann officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at Mountain Cemetery.
