Evelyn Delveaux

Evelyn Delveaux, 91, Oconto Falls, died Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2022 at Emerald Bay health care facility in Hobart. The fourth of seven children was born Aug. 19, 1931, in Oconto Falls to Edward and Mary (Konitzer) Gallas Sr. On Jan. 28, 1950, she married Bernard Delveaux at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls and had seven children. Evelyn worked as a crossing guard for the Oconto Falls School District for over 20 years.
Roger L. Miller
Roger L. Miller, 82, of Clintonville, passed Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory, Clintonville.
Jane E. Jeske
Jane E. Jeske, 59, of Peshtigo, passed away early Tuesday morning, Dec. 20, 2022, at Arbor Village. She was born on Aug. 28, 1963, in Oconto Falls, daughter of the late Maynard Sr. and Diane (Schmidt) Jeske. Jane attended schools in Suring and Gillett. She loved scratch-off lottery tickets and doing crosswords. For a short time, Jane also enjoyed knitting afghans and potholders.
John A. Smith
John “Jack” A. Smith passed away Dec. 28, 2022, after a short illness. Jack was born at home “on the hottest day of the year” June 29, 1936, in Freedom, son of Elmer and Dorothy (Van Hoof) Smith. He is survived by his wife, Ruthann; children, Jackie, Sandy (Floyd) Vosters, Lou Ann (Doug) Fitzgerald, John (Janet), and Greg; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass for Jack will be held on Thursday, Jan.
Donna M. Swanson
Donna M. Swanson, 89, of Coleman, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, following a short illness. Donna was born on May 6, 1933, to the late William and Michaeline (Schaut) Krutz and grew up on a farm in the town of Grover. She graduated from Peshtigo High School with the class of 1951. Donna worked in the office at Badger Paper Mill in Peshtigo following graduation and worked there until her retirement in 1993.
Jean E. Ruege
Jean E. Ruege, 95, Gillett, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at home surrounded by family. She was born June 27, 1927, above the dime store in Gillett to Emil and Alma (Hanson) Goodman. She grew up in Gillett and had to quit school at the age of 12 to help at home, following the death of her mother. On June 5, 1948, she married Leonard Ruege at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Valley.
Korrin “Rin” Moede
Korrin “Rin” Moede (née Jack) passed away on Dec. 22, 2022, at the age of 71. She was a lifelong lover of art, books, animals, ballet, and the opera. She also enjoyed collecting weird obituaries she came across in the newspaper, and kept an album full of them that she could be found chuckling over quite often. Her sense of humor was legendary, and she will be missed dearly.
