Eddie A. Matz Jr.

Eddie A. Matz Jr., 79, Wittenberg, died Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. He was born on Nov. 30, 1935, in the town of Almon, Shawano County, the son of the late Eddie and Violet (Wickman) Matz Sr. Eddie farmed in the town of Almon and the town of Wittenberg. He also drove truck for Duffek Sand and Gravel. He played baseball for the town of Almon baseball team for many years.
Dan Owen Sr.
On Father’s Day, June 21, 2015, Dan Owen Sr. went down swinging after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on July 8, 1947, in Wausau, the son of the late Donald and Rose (Radliff) Owen. Dan was a U.S. Army veteran. On Oct. 3, 1970, Dan was united in marriage to Donna Kluck at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. She survives. Dan worked for Adams Concrete Products from 1968 until 1985.
Daniel A. Nemetz
Daniel A. Nemetz, 87, Wittenberg, formerly of Bowler, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at the Homme Home of Wittenberg. He was born on June 1, 1928, in Chicago, the son of the late Frank and Irene (Wertel) Nemetz. On Oct. 14, 1950, Daniel was united in marriage to Veral Magley. They later divorced. On Aug. 14, 1982, he married Jeanette (Foth) Matz at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. Daniel farmed and owned his own trucks.
Isabel Tincher
Isabel Tincher, 96, of Shawano, passed away on June 10, 2015, in Shawano. Isabel was born in Peoria, Illinois, on Oct. 5, 1918, the daughter of the late George and Ruth (Couch) Gillett. In 1936 in Peoria, Isabel was united in marriage to John W. Tincher. John preceded her in death on Jan. 25, 2001. John and Isabel farmed in Illinois and rural Shawano until 1970, when she went to nursing school in Green Bay.
Dorothy F. Waelchli
Dorothy Waelchli, 91, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Shawano Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born on Sept. 10, 1923, in Fort Atkinson, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Matilda (Florine) Eckhart. On Nov. 15, 1942, Dorothy was united in marriage to Clarence R. Waelchli in Fort Atkinson. After marriage the couple lived in the town of Belle Plaine. Dorothy was a member of the St.
Gertrude E. Solberg
Gertrude “Trudy” E. Solberg, 93, of Shawano, passed away Sunday evening, June 21, 2015, at the Birch Hill Care Center in Shawano. Trudy was born on Nov. 13, 1921, to the late Paul and Viola (Dalke) Gutt in the Township of Almon, Shawano County. She was united in marriage to John Solberg on July 3, 1954, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowler.
Paula J. Zahn
Paula J. Zahn, 76, of Shawano, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the Shawano Medical Center with her family by her side. Paula was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Kallies) Moesch. She attended St. James School in Shawano. On June 9, 1956, she was united in marriage to Carl Zahn at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Following their marriage, the couple lived and farmed near Pella.

Mabell M. Krueger, 96, of the town of Grant, Shawano County, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015, at her home. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion, is assisting her family.
Dorothy H. Webster
Dorothy H. Webster, 93, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, June 20, 2015, at Maple Lane Health Care Center. Dorothy was born June 30, 1921, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Freeman and Lena (Seehafer) Peterson. Dorothy attended school in Leopolis. On June 7, 1942, she was united in marriage to Raymond B. Webster at St. John Lutheran Church in Leopolis.
