Child care dilemma to be addressed at March 20 summit

When choosing child care, there are many factors to consider, including the type of care, price, availability, quality of care and location. NWTF chapter holds annual banquet March 16
Winnebago Strutters Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual banquet March 16 at Pullman’s Restaurant in Appleton. The doors open at 3 p.m. with a buffet-style dinner at 5 p.m. More than a dozen firearms, sporting goods and decorative items will be raffled and auctioned. Those attending are eligible for dozens of door prizes.

Soybean, oat prices up from a year ago
The average price received by farmers for corn during January 2024 in Wisconsin was $4.45 per bushel according to the latest USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service-Agricultural Prices report. This was 5 cents below the December price and $1.75 below January 2023. Bonnie Lou Lorraine (Null) Monfort, 91, Lena, died peacefully at home in the care of her family Monday morning, March 4, 2024. She was surrounded with love when she went to be with her heavenly father. Bonnie was born to Thomas A. and Elizabeth “Pearl” Null, in Whiting, Iowa, and was the eighth of 10 children. Jacque announces candidacy for Congress
State Sen. Andre Jacque announced his campaign for Congress on March 4 during a Green Bay radio show. Jacque, R-De Pere, joins former state Sen. Roger Roth, R-Appleton, as the only announced candidates for the seat now held by U.S. Rep. Mike Gallagher, R-Green Bay.
