Jeffrey Charles Kirchner, aka “Gentleman Jeff,” 62, of Shawano, passed away peacefully at his home on July 20, 2024. He was born on May 29, 1962, to the late Jerome and Maxene (Kushman) Kirchner in Green Bay. Jeff graduated from Pulaski High School in 1980 and attended the University of Bemidji.

James A. Schmidt, 88, Gillett, died suddenly Sunday evening, July 21, 2024, at home. His children came quickly to their mother’s side. He was born April 10, 1936, in Oconto Falls to Arthur and Florence “Flossie” (Sorenson) Schmidt. Jim grew up in the family grocery store in Gillett where he learned the values of working hard, honesty and how to treat people. He attended Gillett public schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1954.
