William “Bill” Moody, 92, Abrams, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, at his home. Bill was born Oct. 26, 1931, to the late Joseph and Doris (Delano) Moody. He married Margaret Sutrick on Aug. 5, 1950. She preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 2018. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army. He started his truck driving career with milk trucks and then drove for Schneider Transport for 25 years.

Adam W. Noack, 35, Clintonville, formerly of Gillett, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at home. He was born on May 5, 1989, in Oconto Falls, son of Lynn (Bitters) Petrin and Ronald Noack Jr. Visitation for Adam will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, 101 W. Main St., Gillett, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Chris Byars.

Four more athletes were inducted into the Bonduel Athletic Hall of Fame prior to the start of the Bears football game Oct. 11. The newest members are Alexa (Reinke) Frechette, Jen Dowden, Jim Moeller and Joshua Tebo. Alexa (Reinke) Frechette Frechette is a class of 2015 alumna.

Suring Superintendent Paul Orlich has announced plans for his retirement, effective Dec. 31. The announcement came during the Suring School Board’s regularly scheduled meeting on Oct.

The process of moving the Oconto Falls Fire Department into its $7.3 million new station is almost complete, Chief Tim Magnin reported to the Oconto Falls City Council Oct. 8. “I just need to submit two more invoices, then I can start the closeout process,” Magnin said, referring the paperwork that needs to be completed for the $7 million grant that allowed for construction of the new station.
