After decades of serving the Shawano School District, Scott Grosskopf is planning to retire. His company could still provide bus service for area schoolchildren, though. Grosskopf told the school district’s Executive Committee on Monday that he is planning to sell Grosskopf Bus Company to Johnson Bus Company, based in Fond du Lac.

The committee dedicated to restoring the tradition of gardening among the Menominee Tribe anticipates a busy fall and winter. Margaret Marie King, 82, of Keshena, passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, in Shawano. Born on Feb. 17, 1931, in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Frances (Waupoose) Tomow. On May 12, 1949, she was united in marriage to Forrest King in Champaign Urbana, Ill. Margaret lived most of her life in the Keshena area and was a member of the Keshena Assembly of God Church.
