5 new Living Treasures introduced
Since the inception of the Living Treasures program in 2001, the Shawano County’s Aging Unit has honored 80 people, including five people who joined the list Tuesday. When Scott Zwirschitz, Shawano Community High School’s principal, was asked about a student in the Class of 2014 who overcame adversity, one student came to mind. Frederick continues win streak at Speedway
Near perfect weather, a great crowd and Charlie's County Market Ladies Night were the recipe for racing Saturday at the historic Shawano Speedway half-mile. Kyle Frederick remained unbeaten in IMCA Stock Car action, and Cody Hudson won his first career IMCA Modified feature.

East-West Division Shawano 10, Bowler 9 Brandon Estep singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as the Lakers edged the Red Sox. Ben Schneidermayer earned the win for Shawano. Hawks sweep Bonduel in doubleheader
A three-run blast by Chase Henning in Game 1 and quick running by Cody Urban in Game 2 helped the Shawano Community High School baseball team sweep Bonduel on Saturday at Memorial Park. The Hawks (8-13, 6-9 Bay) won the first game 13-4, after Henning hit a three-run home run in the first inning to get things going. 3 receive Jirschele awards
Three former Clintonville High School athletes and a Green Bay Packers running back were honored May 10 at the 22nd annual Doug Jirschele Memorial Sports Award Banquet at Clintonville Lanes. The charity banquet is sponsored by the Clintonville American Legion Post 63 to benefit the Clintonville American Legion baseball team and other youth baseball activities.
