Sheriff rips department investigations
Shawano County Sheriff Randy Wright on Wednesday called for a halt to investigations of his department by a private attorney hired by the county’s Administrative Committee. Jeanette Mae Rosenheim, of Pewaukee, formerly of Clintonville, passed away on Oct. 3, 2014, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Nicholas G. Vandenberg
Nicholas G. “Nick” Vandenberg, 63, of Appleton, formerly of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at his home. Nick was born on Feb. 14, 1951, in Appleton to Richard and Frieda (Skorie) Vandenberg. He spent his youth in Appleton and graduated from Appleton East High School. Nick was employed by and retired from Voith Paper. He enjoyed working on motorcycles, hunting and going to gun shows.
Margie Grace Eastburn
Margie Grace Eastburn, 87, Shawano, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2014. Margie was born April 14, 1927, at the family farm in Bartelme Township, Shawano County, the daughter of Herman and Ella (Giessel) Maas. She graduated from Bowler High School in 1945 and moved to Redding and then Blythe, California.
Julia R. Deterville
Julia R. Deterville, 91, formerly of Oconto, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, Oct. 7, 2014, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Seymour, where she had been a resident for the past seven years.
