Lorraine Emma Pearl Konkel, 100, town of Oconto, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at her daughter’s home. Lorraine was born April 5, 1914, in Milwaukee to the late Emil and Mary (Petry) Prahl. She married John Konkel on April 25, 1931. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1976. Lorraine enjoyed fishing and traveling and had just returned from fishing in Florida one week ago. David Henry Redinger, 91, of Lakewood, passed into his Lord’s presence on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, from Woodland Village, Suring. David was born to Henry A. and Dorothy (Seng) Redinger at Akron, Michigan, on Nov. 16, 1923. He attended schools in Chicago, Illinois, and worked there and in Florida, where his father owned an orange grove. He met and married June Steele on Nov. 6, 1943, in Chicago.

Michael “Mike” Pawlak, 98, of Gillett, died on Feb. 5, 2015. He was born on July 21, 1916, in the town of Spruce to the late Stanley and Josephine (Klimczak) Pawlak. Mike was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Gillett and the Knights of Columbus. He met his wife, Carol Alberts, and they were united in marriage on Feb. 19, 1944, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on Sept.

The University of Wisconsin-Extension will offer a program titled “Returning to the Farm” for farm businesses and families considering a multiple-generation farm business. The two-day workshop will be offered Feb. 19 and March 5 in Lena. The program is open to all farm families who want to learn about planning for farm succession.
