June Rose (Froelich) Gering

June Rose (Froelich) Gering, 95, Crivitz, went home to be with her beautiful daughter and husband on Feb. 15, 2015. She was born June 15, 1919, in Green Bay. June graduated from Lena High School in 1937. She married Melvin L. Gering on May 27, 1939, in Green Bay. They lived in Howard and retired to Crivitz. June was a stay at home mom to her eight children. She loved working in her large vegetable garden, tending to her beautiful flowers, all which she started from seed in her greenhouse. She also enjoyed playing the piano, sewing and reading “every book she could get her hands on.” Survivors include her children, Melvin (Judy) Gering Jr., Amberg, Robert (Marge) Gering, Fort Meyers, Florida, Sandy (Mike) Osborne, Shawano, Peter (Jean) Gering, Oconto, John (Mary) Gering, Green Bay, Gary Gering and special friend Barb, Green Bay, and Susan (John) Woodke, Gillett; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lepak, Elkhart Lake; one brother-in-law, George (Eileen) Gering, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Joyce (Al) Fenske, Green Bay. June was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; one daughter, Sharon (Gering) Kleczka; her parents, Anna Henry and Gustave Froelich; one sister, Marion Shephardson. Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Feb. 19. Funeral service will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home, with Deacon Peter Gard officiating.
