The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is accepting bids from counties to host the Alice in Dairyland Finals in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027. Proposals are due by Aug. 15. Each year, a different county hosts a series of Alice in Dairyland Finals events leading up to the selection of the next Alice .

“Fore!” The one-word warning was heard loud and clear, most recently on the links of the beautiful 18-hole golf course situated along the pond in scenic Marion. While this particular warning was not voiced (this time) by yours truly, I’ve been known to holler it every now and again. Being mistaken as a foreigner leads to funny, unpredictable outcomes in “The Foreigner.” Tickets are on sale now for the Abrams Spotlight Productions show to be presented June 16-19 and June 23-26 at the Nancy Byng Community Theater, 5852 Maple St., Abrams.
