Thanksgiving, a day to be grateful to God for the good things in life, is just around the corner. Thanksgiving for my family means a huge meal for supper with my grandpa. We make all the staples, turkey (or sometimes chicken), mashed potatoes, veggies, gravy, cranberry sauce and sometimes we try new things, too.

As many know, our family was partially formed by adoption, which I truly feel is a beautiful expression of God’s far-reaching love.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources encourages hunters to donate Wisconsin-harvested deer through the DNR’s Deer Donation Program.

The program helps stock food pantries and supports residents in need throughout the state.
