Shawano 3, Oconto Falls 1
The seance-seeded Shawano Hawks defeated top-seeded Oconto Falls to win the regional volleyball title.
Shawano won the first game 25-18, but Oconto Falls came back to claim the second game 25-22. The Hawks won the third game 25-16 and then eked out a 27-25 victory in the fourth and deciding game.
The Panthers end the season at 6-3 in the North Eastern Conference, behind a three-way tie for first. Oconto Falls was 28-13 overall.
Shawano (26-7) will travel to Mosinee on Oct. 31 for a sectional matchup.
Bonduel 3, Kewaunee 0
Bonduel claimed its regional title after a 3-0 win over Kewaunee.
Scores were 25-10, 25-22, 25-18.
The Bears (27-4) will host Oconto in sectional action Oct. 31.
Florence 3, Suring 0
Suring’s season ended with a 3-0 loss to Florence.
Scores were 25-13, 25-15, 25-11.
The Eagles placed third in the Marinette & Oconto Conference with a 7-5 mark and were 12-12 overall.
