Wisconsin egg production during May was 204 million eggs, down 7% from the previous May, according to the latest Chickens and Eggs report from the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
The average number of all layers on hand during May was 7.83 million, down 6% from last year. Eggs per 100 layers for May was 2,609, down 1% from a year ago.
United States egg production totaled 9.10 billion during May, down 2% from last year.
