Marian Mae Pauly, 93, passed away peacefully after a short illness, on Jan. 30, 2024, at Evergreen Health Services in Shawano. Marian was born in Clintonville on Oct. 30, 1930, to James and Charlotte (Carpenter) Conlon. She graduated from Clintonville High School. She married Edward O. Pauly on July 2, 1949, in Milwaukee.

Mike Zdzieblowski, 65, passed away on Feb. 6, 2024, at home surrounded by family. He was born Sept. 30, 1958, in Wausau to Bruce and Glendine (O’Keefe) Zdzieblowski. Mike married Pam Paluch on May 18, 1991. He loved attending and watching NASCAR races, the Packers and Brewers. He was a semi-truck driver all his life and enjoyed traveling the U.S. with Pam and his daughter, Rylee.

With a heavy heart, we lost Jim Holl to a 2½-year battle with cancer, on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at home with his family at his side.

Judith A. “Judi” Bartels, 75, formerly of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Jan. 28, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Judi was born Jan 17, 1949, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Arleigh and Elnora (Carlson) Roloff. She attended St. James Grade School followed by Shawano High School where she graduated with the class of 1967.

On Feb. 2, 2024, Ralf Dietrich von Brevern went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ following a fierce battle with Burkitt’s lymphoma leukemia. He was born on Oct. 1, 1961, in Chicago, son of the late Dietrich and Trudy von Brevern. Ralf was a graduate of Gillett High School with the class of 1979. He worked for various trucking companies over the years and loved to drive anywhere.

Bill Koepke may be new to his job with Shawano County, but he certainly isn’t new to the area. The new agronomist, who started his duties Jan. 15, grew up just north of Marion, where his parents farmed. “For the last two weeks, just trying to get the lay of the land,” he told the Shawano County Land Conservation Committee on Feb. 1.
