Feb. 13 Bonduel 73, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 55 Ryan Westrich led Bonduel with 28 points and 12 rebounds as the Bears knocked off Wittenberg-Birnamwood 73-55. Going into the Central Wisconsin East Conference game, Bonduel held a one-game advantage in the standings. After the final buzzer, Bonduel improved to 12-0 in the conference and 20-0 overall.

Feb. 15 Gresham 55, Faith Christian Academy 9 Feb. 14 Wittenberg-Birnamwood 67, Bonduel 45 Wittenberg-Birnamwood won the Central Wisconsin East Conference championship with a 67-45 win over Bonduel. “We played great team basketball tonight. We got big shots from the outside by many tonight,” Chargers coach Nick Mechelke said. “Bonduel really focused on taking Rory (Salvesen) and Melaina (Granquist) away tonight, and the others really stepped up.

Feb. 14 Gillett 52, Lena 33 The Tigers held a slim 25-22 lead at halftime and then pulled away in the second half en route to a 52-33 win over Lena. Jesse DeBauch led Gillett with 27 points and 16 rebounds.

Feb. 7 Great Northern Conference Meet The Shawano/Seymour swim team placed third at the Great Northern Conference Meet in Rhinelander. Rhinelander won with 463 points, followed by Tomahawk 235, Shawano/Seymour 168, Antigo 131, Medford 111 and Lakeland Union 82. Freshman Jonah Kuba placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.01.
