Dennis Hodkiewicz Sr.

Dennis James Hodkiewicz Sr., Shawano, 64, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015. He was born Dec. 26, 1950, to the late John and Agnes Hodkiewicz. Dennis attended school in the Pulaski area. On Oct. 5, 1974, he married Sharon Norton. In 2003, Dennis took Sharon on a second honeymoon to Poland and Germany. He loved the Green Bay Packers, tending to his garden, listening to polkas, watching the Molly B show, decorating his home for Christmas, and spending time with his grandchildren and his wife of 40 years. Dennis will be deeply missed by his family, friends and his dog, Bailey. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; their children, Dawn Washkuhn (Patrick), of Cecil, Dee Hodkiewicz, of Shawano, and Sondra (Guy) Guetschow, of Shawano; grandchildren, Dakota, Taylor, Griffin, Sophie, Emily, Samuel; two great-grandsons, Dante and Amias; siblings, Richard (Genny) Hodkiewicz, of Pulaski, Pat Wichlacz, of Pulaski, and Gerald (Diane) Hodkiewicz, of Fond du Lac; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Leonard Wichlacz. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, with a 6 p.m. Rosary service by the Knights of Columbus Bishop Fox Council 2836, Shawano. The visitation continues after 10:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 119 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. James Esser, O.F.M., presiding. Spring burial will take place in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
