Two Shawano athletes capture wins at St. Norbert Elite Invitational.
The Hawks captured two first-place finishes at the St. Norbert Elite Invitational Friday at St. Norbert College.
The boys placed eighth among 15 schools with 41 points. Lakeland Union won the invitational with 115.50 points.
Daniel Boivin captured first place in the 300-meter hurdles (40.93 seconds) and placed second in the pole vault (13-feet). Jake Klister was third in the 800 run at 2:06.95 was also fourth in the 400 dash (52.28).
Kristina Kurtz was first in the pole vault for the girls (10-00.00), as the Hawks placed 10th among 14 schools tabulating 22 points. Winning the girls portion was Neenah with 144.50 points.
Both Averi Vomastic (300 hurdles, 51.39) and Onalee Sigfried (pole vault, 9-06) took third in their respective events.
